Summary:
linkAges is a virtual bank of volunteer hours for a community. The intent is for an able bodied person to offer volunteer support to an elderly person to help them stay in their home and relieve family caregiving responsibilities. The volunteer can cash in their hours for services of use to them, such as tutoring, or home maintenance. This network seeks to address some of the isolation issues experienced by many seniors.
