Summary:
The FIT Cities Initiative addresses healthy community planning for residents of Orange County. The program was developed to address childhood obesity. However, the project has evolved to address health disparities that can be reduced through built environment changes. The program offers community assessments, presentations, data support and analysis, training, and consultation with community leaders within the County in an effort to achieve health promoting environments.
