The California Conference of Directors of Environmental Health (CCDEH) is engaged in assessing policy and statutory changes needed to reduce food waste through adapting food safety and solid waste program responsibilities. The purpose of this innovation is to move the focus of public environmental health to ensure that policies and practices support and recognize food safety, food security, and food sustainability.
