Summary:
Safe Long Beach is a collective impact approach to addressing violence in the City of Long Beach through prevention, intervention, treatment, and suppression. Safe Long Beach is a living plan that is rooted in the framework of collective action, facilitating multi-sector collaboration including resources, knowledge, and actions combined and focused to help achieve the shared goal of violence reduction and increased safety. Addressing a broad safety agenda, Safe Long Beach draws upon the City’s many existing assets and forges relationships across disciplines, professions, and neighborhood boundaries while recognizing each neighborhood as unique.
