Summary:
The Cooperative Leadership Academy (CLA) is an innovative, collaborative approach to addressing the food insecurity challenges of the underserved and diverse community of Linda Vista. In a collaborative effort with the University of San Diego, CLA students may audit participating classes at USD, with the vision of fostering and developing educated, empowered community members to participate in discussions of the future of their neighborhood. The CLA addresses education in a cooperative model and provides students with the guidance and confidence to share their knowledge and expertise in developing solutions to their community’s food insecurity.
