The Let’s Get Healthy California Task Force has systematically collected, prioritized, and shared information within a plan that includes a comprehensive message, framework, and dashboard for measuring progress towards the goal to become the healthiest state in the nation. Beyond its use at the state level, stakeholders and community leaders in cities and counties have begun to assess how their organizations can take concrete steps to align their work with the goals and priorities set forth in Let’s Get Healthy California. The City and County of San Francisco, Orange County, Monterey County, and the City of Long Beach are just a few examples of local public health leaders that have looked to the Let’s Get Healthy California Task Force Report to inform their goals, objectives, and intervention efforts while developing their community health improvement plans. Through shared leadership at multiple levels, as well as with the broad engagement of the public, we can collectively advance the Triple Aim of better health, better care, and lower costs.
