The State of Public Health (SoPH) includes an annual testimony and biennial report, provided to the California State Legislature, to elevate public health issues and inform policy making. The SoPH provides an opportunity to share key findings from the annual state health assessment core module – along with other key inputs such as considerations related to emerging issues, shifts in the policy landscape, and insights from programs, partners, and communities – to inform policy makers about the public health landscape in California.
