Summary:
In addition to traditional problem gambling helpline services, the Office of Problem Gambling offers unique text messaging services to support prevention, treatment and recovery from gambling disorder. Text “SUPPORT” to 53342 and engage in a text conversation with a masters level counselor about problem gambling behavior and receive referrals to treatment resources. All conversations are confidential and services are provided at no cost (normal text messaging fees apply). Gamblers and individuals who are negatively impacted by problem gambling behavior can also enroll in Motivational Text Messaging services by calling 1-800-GAMBLER or texting “SUPPORT” to 53342.
