Summary:
Healthy Babies are Worth the Wait is a community program that focuses on decreasing “preventable” preterm birth through educating pregnant patients, perinatal providers, and the community on risk factors and strategies for reducing risks of preterm birth.  Their pilot program in Kentucky has shown success in declining singleton births and this strategy will now be implemented in San Bernardino County, selected based on its high preterm birth rate and racial and ethnic disparities.
